Since 1996, I am an associate professor at Université Savoie Mont-Blanc where I started to work in THz optoelectronic after a PhD in nonlinear optics defended in 1995. In 2010 I defended the “Habilitation à diriger des recherches” untitled “Generation and detection of THz signal using optoelectronic devices”. I am the author of 55 international papers and conferenced and 30 national conferences in non-linear optics, ultrafast optoelectronics and THz instrumentation.I have been the supervisor of 8 PhD students. Recently I contributed to the development of dual-wavelength laser for THz generation, to the characterization of THz camera and electronic detectors. Today, I am involved in Microwave Photonics and specially in the use of ultrafast photoswitches for the heterodyne detection of RF data stream using modulated lasers as local oscilators. I am also collaborating with the team of Quantum Coherence (Dr Chris Bauerle, Institut Néel, Grenoble) for the generation of short THz pulses in view of applications in quantum electronics.

 I coordinated 2 research projects supported by Région Rhone-Alpes (2004 and 2013) and one program granted by the French Foreign Affairs Ministry on THz surface spectroscopy in 2005. I worked as scientific collaborator in different national or international programs, including one Franco-Japanese ANR project (named WITH) and two ITN Marie Curie Training programs (named MITEPHO and FIWIN5G).
