The IEEE PRIME Conference is an international conference specifically dedicated to Ph.D. students working in the field of microelectronics and electronics.

Proceedings are published in IEEE Xplore. The aim of PRIME is to provide an opportunity for Ph.D. students to present their research activity, contact other people in the research community and establish new contacts with research centers, universities and companies for future joint activities (fellowships, internships, future employment). The Silver Leaf awards top 10% to 20% presentations.

IMEP-LAHC Ph.D. student Vipin Velayudhan presented a paper titled "Half-Thru de-embedding method for millimeter-wave and sub-millimeter-wave integrated circuits", with Dr. Emmanuel PISTONO and Dr. Jean-Daniel ARNOULD
 as co-authors.
This research paper describes an accurate de-embedding method
Half-Thru” De-embedding for millimeter-wave and sub-millimeter-wave integrated circuits.
 In this “Half-Thru” de-embedding method, the pad-interconnects parasitics effects are modeled as a Half-Thru structure from both parts of the device under test.
Also several de-embedding methods over millimeter and sub-millimeter wave frequencies are compared in integrated technology by considering S-CPW transmission lines as device under test.
From these comparisons we propose an effective way to de-embed transmission lines
